The Upcoming Semester

Hey Everybody!

I hope you guys are having a great break and are psyched out of your minds to get back here to good ol' Indiana PA. We're going to have a great semester at Resolved and I'm excited about all that God is going to do this semester.

Here's a couple of things you need to know.

_The first meeting is on Tuesday, January 15th and will be in the Allegheny Room. Notice that we're not in our usual location at the Susquehanna Room. After the 15th we'll be meeting in our normal location.

_While you're on break, check out the New Attitude conference website. The address is www.newattitude.org. Please consider going to this conference.

Have a very happy and fattening Thanksgiving! I'm so grateful for you guys and how you faithfully come to Resolved week after week. Have a great break.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 29th. We're going to be giving out free Starbucks coffee on campus that day, and we need as many volunteers as possible. More details to come...

Applications Questions From Last Night

Hey Friends:

Here are some application questions to help you apply last night's message to your hearts. I would encourage you to talk about these questions when you get together to hang out.

• How does a true understanding of our sinfulness affect the way we see God's mercy? What keeps you from seeing the depths of your own sinfulness?

• Do you ever feel like you are condemned by God? How does understanding the mercy of Jesus help us overcome condemnation?

• How does understanding the mercy of God motivate us towards holiness? If we are not pursuing holiness, what are we saying about God's mercy?

• What is one specific area you need to grow in pursuing holiness?

• This Tuesday night we'll be finishing up our series on male/female relationships with a time of question and answer with Mark Altrogge. If you have any questions regarding relationships, now is the time to get them answered.

Relationships and Movie Night

Hey Friends,

Some exciting news coming from Resolved headquarters:

• For the next two weeks my dad is going to be speaking to us on the issue of relationships. These messages are going informative, encouraging, challenging, and convicting. Be prepared to have your conception of relationships challenged as you hear what it means to have a biblical relationship with a person of the opposite sex.

• Friday night (10/19) is movie night! We'll be gathering together at the Wallworks to watch a movie, eat popcorn, and have some good ol' (not old) fashioned fun. If you need a ride we'll be meeting at the HUB at 6:45. See you there!

• Ben Murphy has announced that he is changing his major to "Rollerskating". Be sure to encourage him in his new venture...
  

Bonfires and New Meeting Time

Hey Friends,

Some pretty big things are happening in the next couple of days.

• We're having a bonfire / hayride / hot chocolate extravaganza this Friday night. We will be meeting for rides at 6:30 in the HUB circle. This is going to be a great time so please come, and invite a friend!

• Our meeting time has changed. From this point forward we will be meeting at 7:30 pm in the Susquehanna room. Please pass this along to everyone you know. Thanks!
